Filament Assembly
Thorlabs supplies filaments pre-assembled in a filament body as shown in the Figure 6. This is called a filament
assembly. Different filament bodies are used with different filaments, and are distinguished by a version number
engraved on the front of the housing.
Figure 7 lists the standard graphite filament types as a function of the fiber size and application
