Patient restraint system for models 59 and 59-t ez glide evacuation chair

SHOULDER STRAPS
1. Open the track if you are attaching the restraint to
the Model 59-T (tracked) chair.
2. For Models 59 and 59-T, work from the back to the
front of the chair. Slide the looped end of one
shoulder strap through the horizontal slot at the top
of the backrest panel (Figure 4).
3. Bring the other end of the strap up and thread it
through the loop (Figure 4). Pull the entire strap
through the loop until the strap is tight around the
chair frame.
4. Lay the shoulder strap diagonally across the chair
and connect the tan-color male and female buckle
halves (Figure 5).
5. Repeat Steps 2-4 with the other shoulder strap.
6. Fasten the lap buckle (Figure 6).
7. Adjust shoulder and lap straps.
8. The restraint will secure the patient as shown in
Figure 7 when properly attached. Follow local
protocols for arm and hand confinement of patients.
Maintaining the Restraints
The restraints require regular maintenance.
Set up and follow a maintenance schedule. Minimum
intervals for maintenance are shown in the table at the
right.
When using maintenance products, follow the
manufacturers' directions and read the manufacturers'
material safety data sheets.

Polypropylene webbing can be damaged by
bleach or high temperatures. Disinfect and clean
restraints only as directed in this manual.
