Cause / Actions
If the barbecue will not power on:
1. Check that the power cord is securely plugged into the barbecue and into a power
source.
2. If your barbecue is using a domestic plug socket, check the fuse box and reset the
RCD if necessary.
3. If the barbecue will still not power on after you have completed the above checks, it
is likely that the fuse has blown. See the following instructions on how to replace the
barbecue's fuse.
4. If the barbecue will not power on after all steps have been followed, contact the
Customer Service Representative in your area using the contact information on our
website.
If the internal barbecue light is out, it might be time to change the light bulb.
1. Make sure that your barbecue is shut down, powered off, and unplugged from the
power source.
2. Using the included barbecue scraper, carefully pry the outside lens from the
barbecue light housing.
CAUTION: DO NOT USE A SCREWDRIVER OR ANY METAL TOOLS TO PRY THE LENS FROM THE
HOUSING. IT COULD CRACK AND BREAK THE LENS.
3. Gently pull the old light bulb from the socket to remove it.
4. With the barbecue light lens removed, gently wipe any dirt or dust from the inside of
the lens and light bulb socket using a lint-free, non-abrasive cloth.
NOTE: Periodically wipe the lens with a damp cloth to keep the interior barbecue light
illuminating brightly.
5. Replace the light bulb as follows:
120V regions: 40W Halogen G9 120V
230V regions: 40W Halogen G9 230V
CAUTION: USE HALOGEN REPLACEMENT BULBS ONLY. DO NOT USE LED BULBS AS A
REPLACEMENT. IT COULD CAUSE COMPONENT DAMAGE OR FAILURE.
Using gloves or a lint free, non-abrasive cloth, carefully install the new light bulb by
gently pushing it into the socket.
CAUTION: DO NOT USE YOUR BARE HANDS WHEN INSTALLING THE NEW LIGHT BULB. THIS
COULD LEAD TO PREMATURE BURNOUT OF THE LIGHT BULB.
6. Reinstall the internal barbecue light lens onto the housing by gently pressing the
lens back onto the front of the housing.
The flakes you see are accumulated cooking vapours that have turned into carbon. This
happens over time after repeated use of your barbecue. This is not a defect.
Using a barbecue brush or the barbecue scraper included, gently scrub and clean the
carbon flakes off the lid and cookbox. Wipe clean with a soft cloth or paper towel.
