CHECKING AND CLEANING THE
TERMINALS
Carefully read page 77 (BATTERY).
u Make sure that the ignition switch is in
position " ".
u Remove the seat, see
(UNLOCKING/LOCKING THE SEAT)
u Make sure that the cable terminals (1) and
the battery terminals (2) are:
– in good conditions (and not corroded or
covered with deposits);
– covered with neutral grease or Vaseline.
If necessary, proceed as follows:
u Remove the battery, see page 79
(REMOVING THE BATTERY).
u Brush the cable terminals (1) and the
battery terminals (2) with a wire brush, in
order to eliminate any trace of corrosion.

u Install the

Refit the
