IV. ASSEMBLY
Before operating or assembling your Alanté Sport, be sure to connect the
power from the batteries to the VR2 power module. Your Alanté Sport will not power up
or operate without completing this step.
1. Remove the battery cover by unscrewing the two thumb screws. See figure 2.
2. Lift the cover up to remove. See figure 3.
3. Connect the battery cables to the power module. See figure 3.

4. Replace the shroud, making sure not to pinch the joystick control cable. See figure 4.
5. Connect the joystick control to the power module. See figure 4.
Be sure the joystick cable and controller cables are securely
attached to the unit and that the cables are not able to trail on the ground or
become entangled on any surrounding objects while the unit is in use.
The Alanté Sport batteries weigh 21 pounds each. The standard
(18" x 18") seat assembly weighs 37 pounds. Removal of arms will reduce the
weight of the seat. Please ask for help if you do not feel capable of safely lifting
that much weight.
