To troubleshoot a Patriot Lighting Swank 37591-MNDC fan that stays on and does not change speeds or rotate, follow these steps:
1. Check the main and branch circuit fuses or breakers. 2. Check the line wire connections to the fan and the switch wire connections in the switch housing. 3. Check the battery in the remote control. 4. Make sure you are within the 10–20 feet range for the remote to work. 5. Turn off the power and verify that dip switch settings on the remote and receiver match. 6. Ensure all motor housing screws are tight. 7. Check that the screws attaching the fan blade brackets to the motor hub are secure.

Why won't my remote work with my light? The light turns on from the switch. The remote will not control the fan, or lights. There is a blue light on the remote when pressed. Tried a reset with the remote and it turn light on and off one time and nothing after that. Do I need a new remote? There are no dip switches on the remote as stated in manual requesting they are set the same!!
Thank you,
Brenda
