If you set the sensor to the RS-485, Periodic/Active RS-485 or Frequency mode,
you can change the Range of output. In the Frequency mode, 4095 range will be the
range from 300 Hz to 4395 Hz.
After you choose the range click Save the parameters to device.
The 1024 range is usually recommended for the sensors that are shorter
than 1 meter. However, if dealing with a stationary tank whose height is low
while the width and length are bigger than 2-3 meters, it is better to select
the 4096 range.
