2.6.4. BLM Tolerances

With the forcer aligned as in Figure 2-7, the air gap in the magnet track is 0.025 in (0.64 mm) on
either side of the forcer. The straightness can deviate left or right ±0.25 mm (0.010 in) from the
centerline. For example, a deviation can result in an 0.38 mm (0.015 in) air gap on one side and 0.89
mm (0.035 in) on the other side.
The nominal forcer height out of the track is 2.5 mm (0.10 in). The flatness can deviate up an
additional 0.51 mm (0.020 in) for a total of 3.05 mm (0.120 in) from the track edge to the forcer edge.
The flatness can also deviate down 0.51 mm (0.020 in) for a total of 2.0 mm (0.080 in) from the track
edge to the forcer edge.
