2. Installing VEGA-3311
The board is a standard PCI Express add-in card conforming to a conventional half-length form
factor. The engineering version adopts a fanless heatsink design like the photos shown below.
The installation procedure is as below.
Please follow below steps in terms of preparing the card for running:
1. Identify a suitable slot in the target appliance.VEGA-3311requires a PCIE x8 Gen 3 slot with
25W slot power. The majority of standard x8 PCI Express slots meet this base requirement.
2. Fit the board with the correct end-plate for the target slot.
3. Power off the system.
4. Install the board with normal ESD precaution.
5. Power on the server and ensure there are no additional errors during boot sequence.

8. Check the software has been installed correctly by running the demo and checking the output.
If there is no error reported, then VEGA-3311 is now ready for performing video encoding task.
Note that only one board per system is supported in the current early access driver.
