3.3 Install Drivers and Applications for Host
3.3.1 Install Driver and Application for Real-time Codec
Run the installation script file in the vega_bqb_codec_x64 package as described below and the
driver and the sample application will be compiled and installed, and then the driver will be
loaded into the system.
$ cd vega_bqb_codec_x64/01_HOST/realtime_codec_soft/
$ sudo ./install.sh
[sudo] password for xxxx:
Preparing to install SDK...
Installation start.
Making sample applications...done.
Installing sample applications...done.
Installing header files and library...done.
Preparing to install device driver...
Installation start.
Making and loading device driver...done.
Installation completed.
All installations completed.
$
The procedure for the installation is completed. After installation, when the board is connected
with the PC, OS detects the device and the driver is automatically loaded. One can use dmesg
command as described below to check whether driver is loaded correctly or not.
$ dmesg
