The upper LED is the green Activity LED. This LED state combined with the Power and Fault LEDs
states provide information on the G5 High-Voltage BMS state. Examples of the states indicated
include :
1. Factory and IP Resets
2. Firmware Upgrades
3. Faulted states
4. Self-Test
5. Service Lockout
The lower LED is the yellow Link Bus State indicator. This LED will blink to indicate successful Link
Bus communication with at least one or more G5 Cell Interface. When this LED is off, it indicates
there is no communication with any G5 Cell Interface. When this LED is lit solid, it indicates a Linkbus
related fault has tripped.

5.2.2. G5 Cell Interface Status LEDs

Activity LED
There is one blue LED mounted internally on the PCB within the G5 Cell Interface enclosure. To
observe whether this LED is lit, an observer would have to look through the slots in the enclosure.
The activity LED is lit when the G5 Cell Interface is receiving valid traffic over its Link-bus
interface. Communication failures in a Link-bus chain can be observed by ensuring each successive
G5 Cell Interface connected to the G5 Stack Switchgear has a lit Activity LED.
