Front Suspension
6.2.
Rotate both of the drag links equally. To increase the toe-in, rotate both drag links counterclockwise. To
decrease the toe-in, rotate both drag links clockwise. Maintain an equal distance from the ball joint to the
end of the threads on each drag link (Figure 7-9, Page 7-8).
6.3.
Tighten jam nuts to 26 lb·ft (35 N·m).
6.4.
Check the toe-in, and repeat the adjustment procedure if necessary.
6.5.
After toe-in adjustment is made and with wheels in the straight ahead position, the steering wheel should be
at the center of its travel. There should be equal travel to the left and right.

LIFTED SUSPENSION WHEEL ALIGNMENT

The alignment specifications are zero camber and zero toe-in for this vehicle.
NOTE: Roll vehicle forward and backwards (minimum 1 tire revolution) prior to measuring camber and toe-in and
after each adjustment.
Insure steering wheel remains straight during the entire alignment process.
Camber Adjustment
1.
Center the steering wheel making sure the number of turns in a full right turn vs a full left turn is approximately
equal.
2.
Check each front wheel with a framing square (Figure 7-10, Page 7-9).
NOTE: Do not torque hardware until after all adjustments have been made.
3.
To adjust the camber, raise the front of the vehicle and place it on jack stands.
4.
Remove the bottom hex-head bolt (1) that secures the lower a-arm (2) to the bottom of the spindle (Figure
7-11, Page 7-9).
