Inserting/changing the filter
If insufficient foam is produced when the milk is frothed or milk
sprays out of the fine foam frother, this may get dirty� If this hap-
pens, dismantle and rinse the fine foam frother�
Remove the milk pipe and rinse it thoroughly under running

Remove the fine foam frother�

Dismantle the fine foam frother into its individual parts�

Rinse all the parts under running water� If there are severely

dried-on milk residues, firstly immerse the individual parts in a
solution of 250 ml water and one dosing unit of JURA milk
system cleaner� Then rinse the individual parts thoroughly�
Re-assemble the fine foam frother�

E Ensure that all individual parts are correctly and firmly
connected to ensure optimum operation�
Re-fit the fine foam frother on the milk system�
T
Once the filter cartridge stops working (depending on the water
hardness setting), the E8 will prompt you to change the filter�
E Your E8 no longer has to be descaled if you are using the
CLARIS Smart filter cartridge�
E CLARIS Smart filter cartridges are available from specialised
dealers�
