User's Guide
An EMX file is a print settings file for each paper type
and includes the following information necessary for
optimal printing on commercially available paper.
See the help for Epson Edge Dashboard for information
on downloading the EMX file in Epson Edge Dashboard
and how to register media settings to the printer.
Procedure for Custom Paper
Setting
By selecting the appropriate thickness for the loaded
paper from Select Reference Paper in Custom Paper
Setting, you can save general-purpose media settings
and easily guarantee print quality.
The following settings are also available in Custom
Paper Setting allowing you to make more detailed
settings according to the paper you are using.

❏ Feeding Tension
❏ Take-up Tension

unit is installed.
After using Custom Paper Setting, we recommend
performing paper adjustment to optimize the paper
settings according to the loading conditions such as the
width of the loaded paper and whether or not it is loaded
in the auto take-up reel unit.

Buttons that are used in the following settings
Selecting reference paper

Confirm that the printer is ready to print.
Use the l/r buttons to select the . tab, and then
press the Z button.
The Paper menu is displayed.
B
Use the d/u buttons to select Custom Paper
Setting, and then press the Z button.
The Custom Paper Setting menu is displayed.
C
Use the d/u buttons to select a paper setting
bank number between 1 and 10, and then press
the Z button.
The paper setting menu for the selected number
is displayed.
Note that any settings already saved in the printer
will be overwritten.
Note:
Press W to exit the menus.

Choose Select Reference Paper, and then press
the Z button.

Use the d/u buttons to select the appropriate
thickness for the loaded paper, and then press the
Z button.
