Installation and operation
Before Use
1. Before use, clean the appliance observing instructions in section 6.2 'Cleaning'.
WARNING!
It is important that only fresh potable water is poured into the water tank.
Do not fill the appliance with any non-potable liquids, like acids, lyes, oils,
nitrates, etc.!
NOTE!
To reduce heating time and save energy, the tank may also be filled with
hot water. This saves time and energy.
2. Pour required amount of fresh water into the water tank and tea brewer (only up
to 'MAX' mark).
3. To prepare a tea essence in the appliance, put a required amount of leaf tea into
the tea strainer and put the strainer in the tea brewer with integrated water tank.
4. Place the lid on the water tank.
5. To close the water tank rotate the lid clockwise, until the plastic parts of the lid
lock in lid holders (rotary lock).
6. Fix the drip tray on the appliance base and insert the drip grate.
Appliance Start-Up
7. Plug the appliance into a suitable single socket.
8. Switch the appliance on with the ON/OFF switch.
The red power indicator light will be lit and will remain on during the entire working
process.
9. Switch the control unit on with the ON/OFF switch.
10. Set the desired temperature and time using corresponding keys on the control
unit. Observe indications in sections 'Operating Elements' and 'Settings'.
The temperature control range is 20–100°C.
The time may be set in the range of 0–24 hours.
