Descaling

Inappropriate water may lead to scale deposits building up. Limestone deposits
result in longer heating time and might cause damage to the appliance.
NOTE: To avoid limestone deposits, it is recommended to use filtered
water!
ATTENTION! Lack of regular descaling of the appliance, as set forth in the
instruction manual, may constitute a ground for rejecting warranty claims.
Such claims are not covered by the warranty! Descale the appliance
regularly!
1. Fill the water tank with fresh water, add vinegar or a commercially available
descaling agent and boil the solution. Observe the instructions descaling agent's
manufacturer.
2. Run a portion of the solution through the drain tap in order to remove limestone
deposits.
3. Boil the descaling solution again, at least 1 - 2 times.
4. Then leave the appliance to cool off for some time.
5. Remove the descaling solution after the procedure is finished.

6. Rinse the water tank thoroughly a few times with clean water.
7. Run clean water through the drain tap in order to remove any residues of the
descaling solution.
