Select System Preferences from the
select the printer. Click Options & Supplies > Options (or Driver). Select On as Quiet Mode.

The ADF Does Not Work

There may be dust in the hole at the front-left of the scanner glass. Clean out any dust.

Scanning from ADF Slows Down

When scanning using ADF continuously for approximately more than five minutes, scanning slows down to
prevent the scanner mechanism from overheating and being damaged. However, you can continue scanning. To
regain normal scanning speed, leave the ADF idle for at least 30 minutes. Scanning speed does not recover if the
power is off.

The Date and Time Are Incorrect

Set the date and the time correctly on the control panel. After a power failure caused by a lightning strike or if the
power is left off for a long time, the clock may show the wrong time.
