Prior to firs t operation, cl ean the appli anc e and its equi pment, obs er ving i nstr ucti ons in sect ion 6 'Cleaning'. Make sur e no water enters el ectric i nstallation and connec tion box. T hen thoroughl y dr y the appli anc e and the entire eq uipment.
Ins ert the bottom c over into the applianc e. The c over acts as a spac er between the heating element and l eft-over food tray.
Carefull y i nser t the c onnection box with the heati ng element at the bac k edge of t he applianc e. A pin in bottom par t of the c onnecti on box must enter a hol e i n the mai n applianc e. This way the connec tion box is properly mounted.
Appliance Start-up
The 2838131, 2838231 and 2838331 appliances are equipped with 2 heating zones
and, respectively, with separate control elements, thanks to which the heating
zones may be used and set up separately. Each time, the below description
pertains to one heating zone.
The 2838131 and 2838331 (with gas cocks) appliances should be started up and, if
needed, set up observing indications in the following section:

Ignition flame lighting up
1. Press the knob (1) and rotate it to position (3).
2. Press the knob (1) fully and switch the ignition burner on, using the piezoelectric
igniter's button.
3. Keep the knob (1) pressed for approx. 20 seconds, and then release it. If the
ignition flame is out, repeat the process.
The ignition flame may be observed via the sight glass, when the grease collection
container is removed.
Switching Main Burner On
1. Rotate the knob (1) from position (3) to position (4).
2. Depending on the desired thermal processing temperature, rotate the knob (1)
to the desired position between (4) and (5).
Switching Off
1. To switch the main burner off, rotate the knob (1) to position (3).
2. To switch the ignition burner off, press and hold the knob (1), while rotating it to
off position. (2).
