5�1 Introduction
The unit is designed to provide:
• water to plant for heating or cooling the rooms
• domestic hot water
If necessary, it is possible to support the heat output generated by the appliance with auxiliary heating systems (backup),
which may be:
• heating elements available as accessories and mounted inside the unit from the factory
• combustion heaters (boilers)
• solar system kit available as an accessory and managed with a dedicated control unit
The appliance has functions that allow the operation to be set to suit the type of plant on which it has been installed.
The settings and function management is done through:
• the Control Panel display
5�2 Plant water management
The following plant type is provided:
• system with hydraulic separator and secondary pump, inside the machine to be ordered as a factory-fitted kit
The separator is mandatory. It must be provided on the system if it is not ordered as an accessory.

The system water temperature can be controlled via:
PT1: plant probe. To be placed in the hydraulic separator.
If the secondary separator kit is used, the probe is positioned at the factory.
