Connecting the System
This section includes a description of each of the recommended cables necessary
to get up and running on the system, and an overview of the available ports on the
ONYX series controller and expansion enclosure I/O Module (IOM) operator panel.

SYSTEM CABLING & MANAGEMENT
Ensure the appropriate cabling and cable management are available prior to
installing the ONYX series system into the rack.
ONYX Series SAS Connectivity
Connect the provided HD mini-SAS cable from port #1 of the ONYX Series controller to
port #4 of IOM A on the VDS41022 Expansion enclosure as shown on Figure 2.1.
