Engine Transfer to control head
Manufacturer
Evinrude Press + button on control head
Mercury Move the control head levers out of neutral.
Suzuki Press Select button on station control panel
Yamaha To control head at active station:
Move the control head levers out of neutral
OR
Press Take Command on the active joystick
to toggle control back to the control head.
To control head at another station:
Press Station Selector on the Yamaha panel.
Yanmar – BY2 Press Take Command button on control head

Returning to conventional operation

The Optimus 360 joystick control system is designed to work with a variety
of different EST systems provided by different engine manufacturers. Each
manufacturer has a unique transfer routine to switch from joystick control
back to conventional shift and throttle control, shown in the table below.
NOTE
The joystick must be in neutral position before transferring control.
Indication of transfer
1. Joystick blue lamp(s) turn OFF*
2. Control head lamp(s) turn ON
1. Joystick blue lamp(s) turn OFF*
1. Joystick blue lamp(s) turn OFF*
2. Select LED turns ON
1. Joystick blue lamp(s) turn OFF*
1. Control head lamp(s) turn ON
1. Joystick blue lamp(s) turn OFF*
2. Control head lamp(s) turn ON
