Wiring Instructions
WARNING! Never open the panel door while the power is on. Failing to do so may result in serious electric shock.
1.
Open the drive with panel key. Optional mains switch has to be in OFF-position to open the panel door.
2.
Install recommended cable glands for main circuit and control wiring.
Note: Before wiring up the drive, remove the sealing grommets from the access holes in the bottom of the drive. The figure below
explains the purpose of each hole. Make sure the proper holes are used. Do not remove the sealing grommets from holes that will
not be used.
3.
Route the cables through the assigned gland and connect power supply and motor cable as shown below.
Example drawing shows A1000 IP54 drive with optional mains switch.
Drives without mains switch:
Please connect power supply cable directly to
L1/2/L3 terminals of the EMC filter. Connect
the earth wire to earth terminal of the
EMC filter. Use ferrules for L1/L2/L3 wires.
For all drives:
Earth connection of the power supply
directly to the earth terminal of the
EMC filter.
Use ring cable terminal for earth cable.
Drives with built-in mains switch:
Please connect power supply cable directly to
L1/2/L3 terminals of the mains switch.
Use ferrules for L1/L2/L3 wires.


Note: Main circuit wires should be multi-conductor shielded line with a continuous maximum allowable temperature of over 70C
(such as ÖLFLEX® CLASSIC 110/115CY and UNITRONIC® LiYCY (TP) by Lapp Kabel).
