Product Overview
Controls
The GeoLink
™
System consists of an ECU-based
control console, GPS system, pressure transducer,
and a turbine-type flowmeter.
Become familiar with the controls before you start the
engine and operate the sprayer.
The following are important acronyms for the user to
understand:
•
SBAS (Satellite-Based Augmentation
System)—This system supports wide-area
or regional augmentation through the use of
additional satellite broadcast messages. SBAS
correction sources are commonly composed
of multiple ground stations, which take the
measurements of 1 or more GNSS satellites, and
the satellite signals and environmental factors that
may impact the signal.
•
WAAS (Wide Area Augmentation System)—This
US SBAS was developed by the US Federal
Aviation Administration to serve as an air
navigation aid by improving the accuracy and
availability of the GPS signals.
•
RTK (Real Time Kinematic)—This is a network
association of base stations that transmit their
position data to a server via the internet (NTRIP).
The vehicles in the RTK network (rovers) also
transmit their position to the server via mobile
radio. The server uses the position data from
the base stations and vehicles to calculate the
correction data for each vehicle and transmits it to
the vehicle via mobile radio. This allows you to
determine the position to be carried out with an
accuracy of 1 to 2 cm (3/8 to 3/4 inches) real time.
•
GLONASS (Global Navigation Satellite System
(Russian GNSS))—This allows the GPS receiver
to use the Russian satellite navigation system in
addition to GPS.
