5.4 Start-up

Fill the plant very slowly with the process me-
dium on start-up.

Risk of burn injuries due to hot or cold com-
ponents and pipelines.
Depending on the process medium, valve
components and pipelines may get very hot
or cold and cause burn injuries.
− Allow components and pipelines to cool
down or warm up to the ambient tempera-
ture.
− Wear protective clothing and safety gloves.
Domestic hot water heated in an instantaneous heating system with Type 43-8

After assembling the control thermostat, hy-
draulic controller and valve, the Type 43-8
Temperature Regulator can be started up.
Î Fill the plant very slowly with the process
medium on start-up.
Î Open the shut-off valves slowly prefera-
bly starting from the upstream pressure
side.
Î Avoid pressure surges.
