6.5.14. Chorus

Chorus is an effect first developed in the mid-1970s by Roland for the Jazz Chorus amplifier
and CE-1 pedal. In a chorus, the dry signal is mixed with one or more slightly delayed copies
of itself (called voices ), whose amount of delay is gently varied by an LFO to create a sense
of thickness.

Selects the number of delay lines the chorus will use, with a different starting phase for each
