Operating instructions
Switch On/OFF The Sander
Switch on the sander by pressing down the switch to position "I".
Run the Sander for a few seconds before contacting the workpiece.
Contact the workpiece with minimal pressure. If the Sander is not
removing enough material, try a grittier piece of sandpaper, If you
want to remove a lot of material fast , use a belt sander.
Occasionally check the sandpaper for tears, wear, or fraying.
Replace if necessary.
When you are finished, switch off the sander by pressing down the
switch to position "O".
Allow the tool to come to a complete stop before setting it down.
To prevent accidents, turn off the tool and disconnect its power
supply after use. Clean, and then store the tool indoors out of
children's reach.
Variable Speed with Dial Setting
Your sander is also equipped with a variable speed dial. The sander's
orbital pad speed can be preset from minimum to maximum
nameplate OPM by rotating the dial in the housing. The dial may be
set on or between any of six positions (1=low through Max.=high).
The following table may be used as a general guide for abrasive and
backing pad selection, but the best results will be obtained by
sanding a test sample of the workpiece first.
To prevent serious injury from accidental operation
Turn the Power Switch of the tool to its "OFF" position and unplug the
tool from its electrical outlet before performing any inspection,
maintenance, or cleaning procedures.
Tool service must be performed only by qualified repair personnel.
Service or maintenance performed by unqualified personnel could
result in a risk of injury. If the tool does not work properly, return the tool
to a service facility for repairs.
CLEANING
Clean out dust and debris from vents and electrical contacts by
blowing with compressed air. Always wear safety goggles when
cleaning tools with compressed air.
Keep tool handles clean, dry and free of oil or grease.
Use only mild soap and a damp cloth to clean the tool, keeping away
from all electrical contacts.
