IMPORTANT: Gradually open choke after
engine starts.
Throttle Lever (Item 12)

Increase engine speed.
2. SLOW
Decrease engine speed.

OPERATION
Operate the ignition switch
with the removable key.
The switch has three
positions:
1. OFF
Engine will not start or run.
2. ON
Engine will run.
3. START
Engine will start.
1. START
(Choke Closed):
Chokes off air to engine
for easier starting.
2. RUN
(Choke Open):
Allows for normal
operation.
Oil Pressure Light (Item 13)

Transaxle Bypass Levers
(Item 1 and Item 2)
Bypass the transaxles to move the unit with
the engine off (see To Push The Unit on
page 19).
NOTICE: Ensure both transaxles are set to
neutral before pushing the unit.
IMPORTANT: DO NOT tow unit. Transport
unit on an appropriate truck or trailer.
Operator Platform (Item 3)
The operator platform has two positions:
1. Ride
Use as a stand-on mower (platform down).
2. Transport
Use as a walk-behind unit (platform up).
NOTICE: Lock platform using the transport
lock latch (See To Move the Operator
Platform on page 19).
CAUTION: Avoid injury! Use
extreme care when operating unit
with operator platform in transport
position, especially when
backing. Reduce engine speed
before moving unit.

Indicates when engine oil
pressure is low.
NOTE: It does not indicate
engine oil level.
