Impurities coming out of the sole-
plate stain the garments.
Water is coming out of the soleplate. •
The soleplate is dirty or dark and
may stain the fabrics.
The limescale indicator light is lit.
Steam is not emitted with the iron
lying vertical.
The AUTO/PRO mode cannot be
selected.
• There may be residues in the vaporisation chamber. Perform
the cleaning operations (refer to the "Descaling cycle" para-
graph under the "Cleaning and maintenance" chapter).
• You are using perfume, vinegar, starch, descaling agents,
ironing products or other chemicals. Bear in mind that these
substances may damage the product. Rinse the water res-
ervoir.
• You are not using the correct type of water (refer to the "Filling
the reservoir" chapter).
• You are using starch. You can use starch directly on the re-
verse side of the fabrics and, in any case, never use starch in
the water reservoir.
• The garment was not washed correctly or has some soap
residues.
• You are ironing a new garment that has not yet been washed
for the first time.
• Check that the limescale indicator light is off. If it is on, pro-
ceed with the descaling cycle.
The soleplate temperature may be too low because the shot-
of-steam button has been pressed too many times. Slightly
increase the interval between successive steam shots.
• You did not close the filling cap correctly.
• You are using perfume, vinegar, starch, descaling agents,
ironing products or other chemicals. Bear in mind that these
substances may damage the product. Rinse the water res-
ervoir.
• You are using a programme with an excessively high tempera-
ture. Clean the soleplate (refer to the "Cleaning the product"
paragraph under the "Cleaning and maintenance" chapter).
• You are using starch. You can use starch directly on the re-
verse side of the fabrics and, in any case, never use starch in
the water reservoir.
• The garment was not washed correctly or has some soap
residues.
• You are ironing a new garment that has not yet been washed
for the first time.
• The switching on of the limescale indicator light signals that
the descaling cycle must be started. The product can still be
used with the limescale indicator light lit, but will have reduced
performance.
• Check that the PRO operating mode has been selected.
• Check that there is enough water in the reservoir.
• Check that the temperature indicator light is lit and that the
product is ready to iron.
• A programme was selected for which the product did not deem
it necessary to emit steam. Select the Cotton programme.
• To switch from the PRO mode to the AUTO operating mode,
simultaneously press the programme selector button and the
steam button for a few seconds.
• Unplug the appliance from the power outlet for a few seconds
and try again.
