Removing the Wing Blade Assembly
The right and left blade assemblies rotate in opposite
directions and are unique to their positions. Ensure
that you install the fan discs and blades in the correct
positions.
1.
Hold the wing blade assembly using a cloth or a
thickly padded glove.
2.
Remove the blade bolt, spring lock washer,
blade retainer, and curved washer from the
spindle shaft

Important:
The right blade assembly blade
bolt has a left-handed thread. Turn the blade
bolt clockwise to loosen it.

Sharpening and Balancing the Center Blade

Use a file or sharpening tool to sharpen the
cutting edge at both ends of the blade

Maintain the original angle–22°.

The blade keeps its balance if you
remove the same amount of material from both

1. Sharpen at the original angle–22°.

Check the balance of the blade by putting it on
a blade balancer
Note:
If the blade stays in a horizontal position,
the blade balances and it is ready for use.
Note:
If the blade is not balanced, file some
metal off the heavy end of the blade in the sail
area only
