Congratulations on your purchase of premium SCOTT shield lens for your SCOTT Split
bicycle helmet.
Every SCOTT lens bears the CE mark which represents compliance with European
guidelines 89/686/EEC in connection with EN 1836:2007-11. All SCOTT lenses are always
in compliance with the US standard ANSI/Z80.3-2008 „nonprescription sunglasses and
fashion eyewear requirements".
Range of application and restrictions on use
SCOTT lenses guarantee protection from harmful UVA and UVB rays up to 400 nm.
However, SCOTT lenses do not o er su cient protection against direct UV radiation
such as tanning booths and sunlight. Do not use for looking directly at the sun!
Do not use SCOTT lenses while driving at night or in otherwise reduced lighting
conditions.
SCOTT lenses have a shock resistance in accordance with EN 1836:2007-11 and the US
standard ANSI/Z80.3-2008, however they are not unbreakable. For this reason, SCOTT
lenses do not protect against eye injuries.
SCOTT Sports SA excludes any liability for possible damage occurring or having
occurred from improper use.

The lenses correspond with optical class 1 and have been tested in accordance with EN
1836:2007-11.

Please obtain the exact description of the lens from the outer package. The correspond-
ing fi lter category as well as light transmission can be removed from the transmission
curves.
Instructions for usage
Your Scott Shield lens is designed for usage with the SCOTT Split bike helmet. There
are three sizes of Shield lenses, which are designed for the three sizes of SCOTT Split
bike helmet available. Please purchase the correct size lens for your helmet size. SCOTT
Sports SA excludes any liability for possible damage occurring or having occurred from
improper use, incorrect size usage or incorrect fi tting of the Shield lens.
How to fi t your Shield lens
1. Your lens has three attachment clips (fi gure 1) which are designed to correspond with
three attachment points in the brow of the helmet (fi gure 2).

2 . In order to attach the Shield lens to the helmet, align the three attachment clips with
the three helmet attachment points and press fi rmly to connect all three (fi gure 3).
Before use pull gently downwards on the lens to ensure all three attachment clips are
securely connected to the helmet.

3 . To remove the lens pull fi rmly on the side of the lens (see fi gure 4) to unclick all three
connections.
Storage
The sunglasses may not be stored in direct sunlight or in locations where the tempera-
ture exceeds 50° C (122°).
Cleaning
Be careful when cleaning your lens! Remove any dirt by blowing softly on them. Polish
the lenses with a soft cotton cloth or a special lens cloth. Do not use paper towels or
other materials containing wood fi ber or any other cleaning material.
Inspection
Inspect your glasses prior to use for possible damage. If the lenses show scratches or
other blemishes, they should be repaired or replaced; otherwise su cient protection
from harmful UVA and UVB rays cannot be guaranteed.

Jede SCOTT Linse trägt das CE Zeichen, welches für die Erfüllung der europäischen

Anwendungsbereich und Benutzungseinschränkung
SCOTT Linsen gewährleisten Schutz vor den schädlichen UVA und UVB Strahlen bis zu
400 nm. Allerdings gewähren SCOTT Linsen nicht genügend Schutz gegen direkte UV
Bestrahlung, wie zum Beispiel Solarien und Sonnenlichter. Nicht für den direkten Blick in
die Sonne benützen!
Verwenden Sie SCOTT Linsen nicht zum nächtlichen Autofahren oder bei sonstigen
reduzierten Lichtverhältnissen.
Die SCOTT Linsen verfügen über eine Aufprallresistenz gemäß der EN 1836:2007-11 und
des US-Standards ANSI/Z80.3-2008, jedoch sind sie nicht bruchsicher. SCOTT Linsen
gewähren deshalb keinen Schutz vor Augenverletzungen.
SCOTT Sports SA schließt jegliche Haftung für etwaige Schäden, die durch eine unsach-
gemäße Nutzung der Linse entstehen bzw. entstanden sind, aus.

Gebrauchsanweisung
Ihre Scott Shield Linse wurde für den Gebrauch mit dem SCOTT Split Fahrradhelm
entwickelt. Die Shield Linsen gibt es in drei verschiedenen Größen, abgestimmt auf die
drei SCOTT Split Fahrradhelmgrößen. Bitte achten Sie beim Kauf einer Linse darauf, dass
es sich um die richtige Größe für Ihren Helm handelt. SCOTT Sports SA schließt jegliche
Haftung für etwaige Schäden, die durch eine unsachgemäße Nutzung, eine falsche Grö-
ße oder unsachgemäße Montage der Shield Linse entstehen bzw. entstanden sind, aus.
Montage Ihrer Shield Linse
1. Ihre Linse verfügt über drei Befestigungsclips (Abbildung 1), die auf die drei Befesti-
gungspunkte an der Stirnseite des Helms abgestimmt sind (Abbildung 2).

2 . Für die Montage der Shield Linse am Helm, die drei Befestigungsclips auf die drei
Befestigungspunkte am Helm abstimmen und fest andrücken, um die drei Punkte
miteinander zu verbinden (Abbildung 3). Vor jedem Gebrauch leicht an der Linse
ziehen, um sicherzustellen, dass alle drei Befestigungsclips sicher mit dem Helm
verbunden sind.

3 . Zum Entfernen der Linse kräftig an der Seite der Linse ziehen (siehe Abbildung 4),
um die drei Befestigungen ausrasten zu lassen.
Lagerung
Die Linse darf nicht im direkten Sonnenlicht oder an Orten, wo die Temperatur 50° C
übersteigt, aufbewahrt werden.
Reinigung
Reinigen Sie Ihre Linse mit Vorsicht! Entfernen Sie jeglichen Schmutz durch leichtes
Pusten. Polieren Sie die Linse mit einem weichen Baumwolltuch oder einem speziellen
Brillentuch. Verwenden Sie keine Papiertücher oder andere holzfaserhaltige Materialien
und auch keine sonstigen Putzmittel.
Überprüfung
Kontrollieren Sie Ihre Linse vor Gebrauch auf eventuelle Schäden. Falls die Linse Kratzer
oder andere Fehler aufweist, sollte sie repariert oder ersetzt werden, da ansonsten
kein ausreichender Schutz vor schädlichen UVA und UVB Strahlen mehr gewährleistet
werden kann.

Félicitations pour l'achat de ces excellents verres de protection SCOTT pour votre
casque de vélo Split. Les verres SCOTT portent le marquage CE, ce qui indique qu'ils
répondent à la directive européenne 89/686/CEE en corrélation avec EN 1836:2007-11.
L'ensemble des verres SCOTT répond aussi à la norme américaine ANSI/Z80.3-2008
«Non presciption sunglasses and fashion eyewear – requirements ».
Domaine et limitations d'utilisation
Les verres SCOTT assurent une protection contre les rayons UBV et UVA nocifs jusqu'à
400 nm. Ils n'assurent toutefois pas de protection su sante contre les rayonnements
UV directs, comme par exemple les bancs solaires ou la lumière directe du soleil. Ne les
utilisez pas pour regarder directement le soleil !
N'utilisez pas les verres SCOTT pour conduire un véhicule automobile à la nuit tombée
ou quand les conditions d'éclairement sont faibles.
Les verres SCOTT disposent d'une résistance au choc conforme à EN 1836:2007-11 et
ANSI/Z80.3-2008, mais ne sont pas incassables. Les verres SCOTT ne sont donc pas une
garantie de protection contre les blessures oculaires.
SCOTT Sports SA décline toute responsabilité pour les dégâts éventuels découlant ou
ayant découlé d'une utilisation non conforme des verres.
Informations techniques
Les verres sont de classe optique 1 et ont été testés selon EN 1836:2007-11.
La désignation exacte des verres est mentionnée sur l'emballage. La catégorie de fi ltre
correspondante ainsi que la transmission lumineuse peuvent être obtenues grâce aux
courbes de transmission.
Instructions d'utilisation
Les verres de protection Scott sont conçus pour être utilisés avec le casque de vélo
SCOTT Split. Ils sont disponibles en trois tailles, correspondant chacune à une taille du
casque Split. Veillez à vous procurer la taille de verre correspondant à celle de votre
casque. SCOTT Sports SA décline toute responsabilité pour les dégâts éventuels décou-
lant ou ayant découlé d'une utilisation non conforme, du choix de la mauvaise taille ou
d'une mauvaise installation des verres.
Montage Ihrer Shield Linse
1. Les verres sont pourvus de trois attaches (fi gure 1), coïncidant avec les trois points
d'attache situés sur l'avant du casque (fi gure 2).

2 . Pour attacher les verres de protection au casque, alignez les trois attaches sur les
trois points du casque et appuyez fermement pour e ectuer la connexion (fi gure 3).
Avant toute utilisation, tirez doucement les verres vers le bas afi n de vérifi er que les
trois attaches sont bien connectées au casque.

3 . Pour ôter les verres, tirez fermement dessus en les saisissant par les côtés (fi gure 4),
de sorte à déconnecter les trois attaches.
Stockage
Les verres ne doivent pas être conservés en plein soleil ou en des endroits où la tempé-
rature dépasse 50°C.
Nettoyage
Nettoyez vos verres avec soin ! Enlevez les saletés en les époussetant légèrement. Frot-
tez-les avec un chi on doux en coton ou avec un chi on spécial pour verres. N'utilisez
pas de mouchoir en papier ou d'autres matières à base de fi bres de bois et n'utilisez pas
de détergent.
Contrôle
Avant usage, contrôlez l'absence de dégâts éventuels sur vos verres. Au cas où ils
présenteraient des rayures ou d'autres défauts, il faut les réparer ou les remplacer, faute
de quoi une protection su sante contre les rayons UVB et UVA nocifs ne peut plus
être garantie.

Tutti gli occhiali dal sole SCOTT sono provvisti del marchio CE che dimostra la confor-
mità alla direttiva europea 89/686/EWG iVm EN 1836:2007-11. Essi soddisfano anche lo
standard USA ANSI/Z80.3-2008 "occhiali da sole non soggetti a prescrizione e occhiali
di moda – requisiti".
Campo di applicazione e limiti di utilizzo
Gli occhiali da sole SCOTT garantiscono la protezione contro i dannosi raggi UVA e UVB
fi no a 400 nm, ma non assicurano una protezione su ciente contro i raggi UV diretti,
quelli ad esempio dei solarium e delle lampade solari. Non devono essere utilizzati per la
visione diretta del sole!
Gli occhiali da sole SCOTT non possono essere utilizzati per la guida notturna o in altre
condizioni di visibilità ridotta.
Gli occhiali da sole SCOTT sono resistenti agli urti conformemente a EN 1836:2007-11 e
allo standard USA ANSI/Z80.3-2008, ma non sono infrangibili; per questo motivo non è
garantita la protezione contro eventuali ferite agli occhi.
SCOTT Sports SA declina qualsiasi responsabilità per eventuali danni dovuti ad un
utilizzo improprio degli occhiali da sole.
Informazioni tecniche
Le lenti sono conformi alla classe ottica 1 e sono state collaudate secondo EN 1836:2007-11.
Per la descrizione esatta della lente si veda l'imballo esterno. La categoria del fi ltro e il
fattore di trasmissione della luce possono essere ricavati dalle curve della trasmissione.
Istruzioni per l'uso
Le lenti Scott Shield sono progettate per l'utilizzo con il casco bici SCOTT Split. Sono
disponibili tre misure di lenti Shield, progettate per le tre taglie di casco SCOTT Split. È
importante acquistare la misura di lente corretta per il proprio casco. SCOTT Sports SA
declina ogni responsabilità per eventuali possibili danni derivanti o derivati da un uso
improprio, uso di misure errate o montaggio incorretto delle lenti Shield.
Come montare le lenti Shield
1. La lente è dotata di tre fermagli di fi ssaggio (fi gura 1) predisposti in corrispondenza
dei punti di attacco sulla parte frontale del casco (fi gura 2).

2 . Per fi ssare la lente Shield al casco, allineare i tre fermagli di fi ssaggio ai tre punti
di attacco sul casco e premere saldamente per collegarli tutti e tre (fi gura 3). Prima
dell'utilizzo, premere delicatamente verso il basso sulla lente per verifi care il corretto
fi ssaggio dei fermagli al casco.

3 . Per rimuovere la lente, tirare saldamente sul lato (vedere fi gura 4) per sganciare tutti
e tre i fermagli.
Conservazione
Le lenti non possono essere conservate alla luce del sole diretta o in luoghi con una
temperatura superiore a 50° C.
Pulizia
Le lenti devono essere pulite con cautela! Eliminare tracce di sporco so ando legger-
mente sulle lenti. Lucidarle con un panno morbido in cotone o un panno speciale per
occhiali. Non utilizzare fazzoletti di carta o altri materiali contenenti fi bre di legno né altri
prodotti per la pulizia.
Controllo
Prima dell'utilizzo controllare che le lenti non siano danneggiate. Qualora presentassero
gra o altri difetti, è necessario farle riparare o sostituirle, poiché altrimenti non saranno
in grado di assicurare una protezione su ciente contro i raggi UVA e UVB.
