Removal and Replacement Procedures

Ethernet Pass-through Board

To remove the Ethernet pass-through board:
1. Power down the server blade and remove it from the server blade enclosure. Refer to the
"Server Blad e Preparation" section in this chapter.
2. Remove the access panel. Refer to the " Access Panel" section in this chapter.
3. Disconnect RJ-45 cables from either the PCI-X mezzanine board or the Ethernet
pass-through board.
4. Turn the thumbscrew to release the Ethernet pass-through board (1) and pull the board
out of the chassis (2).

Reverse steps 1 through 4 to replace the Ethernet pass-through board.
