Connecting the power cord
CAUTION:
• Provide a circuit breaker for each power cord.
• Before connecting the power cord, make sure the circuit breaker on the power cord is turned off.

The HPE 5140 24G SFP w/8G Combo 4SFP+ EI switches use removable power supplies. The
PSR150-A1 and PSR150-D1 power supplies are available for the switch. The PSR150-A1 power
supply uses AC power. The PSR150-D1 power supply uses –48 VDC power or RPS power.
Connecting the AC power cord for the fixed AC power supply

Connect the plug of the AC power cord to the AC-input power receptacle on the switch. See
Figure
2.
Use a cable tie to secure the power cord to the handle near the AC power receptacle. See
Figure
3.
Connect the other end of the power cord to an AC power source.
