Introducing the FireWire 800 M-64
The FireWire 800 M-64 is designed to support both PC and MAC
computers. It provides 3 independent hot-pluggable Firewire 800
(1394b) ports with data transfer rates up to 800Mbps.
Features and Benefits
• Provides 3 FireWire 800 (1394b) ports for multiple 1394b and
1394a (a 9-6 or 9-4 FireWire cable required) device connections
• Supports IEEE 1394b and backwards compatible with 1394a-
2000 and 1394-1995 standards
• Supports data transfer rates of 100, 200, 400, and 800Mbps
• Built-in 4-pin power connector provides extra power when
connected to the system's power supply (Recommended)
• Supports hot-swapping and Plug-n-Play connection of
peripheral devices
• Works with various types of FireWire 800 (1394b) and 1394a
devices including portable hard disk, DV camcorder, digital
camera, CD-RW/DVD-ROM drive and other audio/video
devices

PC:
• Pentium or equivalent PC with an available 64-bit or 32-bit
PCI slot
• Windows 98SE/ME/2000/XP
MAC:
• Power Mac G3 Blue & White or later with an available 64-bit
or 32-bit PCI slot
• Mac OS 8.6-9.x, Mac OS 10.1.x-10.2.3: Up to 400 Mbps
• Mac OS 10.2.4 or later: Up to 800 Mbps
* Note: When installed in a 32-bit PCI slot, a portion of the
edge connector will not be connected to the PCI slot.
