Category A "open sea": The craft is designed for long voyages during which

wind forces may exceed 9 (Beaufort scale) and significant wave heights 7 metres,
for which these craft are, to a large extent, self-sufficient.
NOTICE: the craft has been designed for sea-going with wind and sea
conditions acceptable for safety. However, it has not been designed
to face exceptional weather and sea conditions such as storms. Also,
it is advised to take into consideration the geological characteristics of
the sea beds which can increase severity of sea conditions.
Declaration of conformity: This vessel has been designed and built in line with the
basic requirements of the EC Directive 94 25 and has been appraised using module
A bis (internal manufacturing inspection plus tests on stability and bouyancy
properties).
The official document which justifies the EC type declaration is attached at the end of
the handbook.
