When in service, the craft must be fitted with portable fire
extinguishers (not provided as standard equipment).
During thunderstorms, all people on board must stay as much as
possible inside the closed craft and avoid any contact with water and
metal parts of the rigging, spars, fittings and lines and wires of the
vessel.
If the vessel is struck by lightning, all electrical and electronic
equipment must be carefully examined. In case of malfunction, refer
to the corresponding handbook or call in an expert.
