3.3.3 Connecting power supply
Note: If the plug is removed from
the mains plug and replaced with
hard wiring, then a suitable,
clearly marked, 2-pole isolator
must be fitted in the immediate
vicinity of the power supply.

You can connect the controller to the power supply using either a mains cable or
using hard wiring (if necessary using conduit). The connection is made
independent of the cable type and always to the same terminals.
1. Only use suitable cable or conduit glands.
2. Open the hinged front flap using a cross-head screwdriver.
3. Remove the mains voltage protective cover (Fig. 3-12).
4. Guide the cable through the cable gland or conduit gland at the rear right on
the underside of the housing. Tighten the union nut to fix the cable in position.
5. Prepare the individual cable ends as per Fig. 3-14 and fasten them in the
terminal strip as per Table 3-3. Carefully pull the individual cores to check that
they are securely fastened.
Note: The terminals are designed for the connection of a single wire. Never connect
several wires to one terminal.

6. Seal all unused housing openings with water-proof sealing plugs, you will find
appropriate order numbers in the list of spare parts.
7. Re-fit the mains voltage protective cover.
