Open the MXW Control Software

Download and install the MXW control software to control the system from any computer on the MXW network.
There are two different control interfaces for MXW devices:
• MXW system: For comprehensive control of key setup, monitoring and management functions for the MXW system. Ac­
cessed from the Access Point Transceiver (APT).
• Audio Inputs and Outputs: For sending audio channels on and off the Dante network. Accessed from the Audio Network
Interface (ANI).
1. Get the Shure Microflex Wireless application
Download and install the latest version from www.shure.com/software.
2. Connect the computer to the MXW network
All networked devices must be connected to the same network (set to the same subnet).
3. Turn off WiFi (recommended)
For best results, turn off the PC's WiFi to force the wired network interface.
4. Open the Shure Microflex Wireless application
Open the application to view connected MXW devices, such as the APT. You can use the Identify button to flash a
device's LEDs for easy identification.
5. Initialize new hardware
When a device is powered on for the first time, or after a factory reset, the control software identifies it as "New," and
prompts you to initialize it before use. Click "Initialize the devices" and create a passphrase using 8­64 ASCII or Uni­
code characters.

To operate the control software, the computer must meet the following minimum requirements:
