22. (Optional) To install the fan without a light kit:
Unscrew the hex nut located inside the switch
housing cap from the threaded rod in the center of
the cap to remove the light kit and wiring (Fig. 22).
23. Remove the screws and washers from the upper
switch housing. Align holes in switch housing
cap with holes in upper switch housing. Re-insert
screws and washers that were previously removed.
Use a Phillips screwdriver (not included) to secure
all screws. Plug the hole in the switch housing cap
with the plastic cap (Fig. 23).
Proceed to step 29.

24. To install the fan with a light kit:
Remove screws and washers from upper switch
housing. Then connect the plug from the motor
assembly to the plug from the light kit, matching
the colors on each plug. Ensure that the plugs
connect tightly (Fig. 24).
