Updating the cassette
memory

Whenever a new or partial roll of media is loaded into the Writer, a
leader is automatically made when the cassette access door is
closed if the Writer has been powered up and initialized.
A media advance symbol (
display while the leader is being advanced. Once the leader has
been made, check the media supply indicators on the status
display to determine if you have enough media to complete the job.
To update the cassette memory:
1. Open and close the top cover of the film cassette.
2. Place the Writer in the off-line mode and open the cassette
access door.
3. Swing the drive release lever (green handle) out.
4. Insert the cassette.
5. Swing the drive release lever back into place.
6. Close the cassette access door. The Writer will perform a film
advance and update the cassette memory and media supply
indicator.
7. Place the Writer in the on-line mode.
