BEFORE INSTALLATION

warning Universal receiver RTS must be installed and programmed by qualified installers for whom this instruction is intended. Before connecting the unit, read the instructions carefully.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Universal receiver RTS is a radio receiver for awnings with an automatic control according to the daylight intensity and protection against wind damage. It can be used with all RTS sensors (SOLIRIS sensor RTS, Eolis Sensor RTS, Sunis RTS...) and is compatible with all RTS controls and the INIS RT.

MOUNTING OF THE DEVICE

warning Respect the electrical standards in force as well as the following points:

  • Disconnect the mains before carrying out any work.
  • Install the Universal receiver RTS with the cables entry pointing downwards to avoid waterinfiltration.
  • Do not install the Universal receiver RTS against a metallic part (it could affect the radiotransmission).
  1. The Universal receiver RTS is compatible with all standard SOMFY wired motors. Cabling arrangements are shown in the diagram. Up to 3 sensors can be memorized to one receiver to optimise weather detection and up to 12 transmitters can be recorded.

PROGRAMMING

Installing or Removing a transmitter

  1. Enter programming mode
Press the programming button of the Universal Receiver -> 2sec until the motor feedback and LED lights.
Installing or Removing a transmitter - Step 1
  2. Record/Delete the transmitter
Press briefly prog button on the back of the transmitter -> motor feedback / LED of receiver blinks.
Installing or Removing a transmitter - Step 2

Installing or Removing a Sensor

  1. Enter programming mode
Press the programming button of the Universal Receiver -> 2sec until the motor feedback and LED lights.
Installing or Removing a Sensor - Step 1
  2. Record/Delete the sensor
Press briefly prog button of the sensor -> motor feedback / LED of receiver blinks
Installing or Removing a Sensor - Step 2

Removing all the controls and the sensors from the memory of the receiver

Press the programming button of the Universal Receiver -> 7 sec until blinking of the LED and and 2 motor feedbacks.
Removing all the controls/sensors from the memory

It is also possible to enter programming mode with a known control by pressing 2sec. on its programming button.

With the Universal receiver RTS and a RTS control, it is possible to set one or two favorite positions: one accessible from the top of the awning and one from the bottom.

The both intermediate positions can be reached manually (with a RTS control) by pressing .
Only the TOP intermediate position can be reached automatically (with the sun detection).

RECORD my FAVORITE POSITION FROM THE TOP OF THE AWNING

  1. Set the awning at its UP limit with the RTS control.
  2. Push simultaneoustly and of the RTS control until the awning begins to move (about 3 sec).
  3. Stop the awning at the intermediate position you wish with the RTS control (if necessary, adjust this position with and push buttons).
  4. Push theebutton of the RTS control during 5 seconds until motor feedback.
-> The Universal receiver RTS has memorized the 1st your favorite position.

RECORD my FAVORITE POSITION FROM THE BOTTOM OF THE AWNING

  1. Set the awning at its DOWN limit with the RTS control.
  2. Push simultaneoustly and of the RTS control until the awning begins to move (about 3 sec).
  3. Stop the awning at the intermediate position you wish with the RTS control (if necessary, adjust this position with and push buttons).
  4. Push the button of the RTS control during 5 seconds until motor feedback.
-> The Universal receiver RTS has memorized the 2nd favorite position.

SUN FUNCTION

Use a Telis with sun function to activate or deactivate the sun function (e.g: Telis Soliris RTS, Telis Composio RTS...).
Manual mode = Sun function deactivated
Automatic mode = Sun function activated

  1. Sun appearing
When the intensity of the daylight exceeds the threshold set on your sun sensor (soliris sensor RTS, Sunis sensor RTS), a DOWN order is sent to the awning after 2 min. (Demo: 10 sec.). The awning goes to the position 1 or to its DOWN end limit position if no position has been memorised.
  2. Sun disappearing
When the daylight level falls below the threshold setting, a variable time delay from 15 - 30 minutes is activated (depending on the sun presence duration). After this time delay, an UP order is given to the awning (Demo: 15 sec.).

WIND FUNCTION (always activated)

  1. When the wind speed exceeds the threshold set by your wind sensor (Soliris sensor RTS, Eolis sensor RTS) an UP order is given to the awning within 2 sec. after detection.
  2. The SUN function will remain inhibited during 12 min., but after 30 seconds (Demo: 15 sec.), an order can be given with the RTS control.

To select DEMO or NORMAL mode: Refer to installation guide of the sensor.

TROUBLE SHOOTING

The LED on the RTS control does not light

Check the battery of the RTS control.
The leds of the RTS control lights, but the motor does not operate.
  1. Press the test button of the Universal receiver RTS.
  2. Check the programming.
  3. Check the wiring of the motor and the Universal receiver RTS.
