Setting the Battery and a Memory Card

Inserting the Battery and a Memory Card

SD memory cards, SDHC memory cards, and SDXC memory cards can be
used with this camera. "Memory card" refers to these memory cards in this
manual.

Make sure that the camera power is off.

Slide the release lever on the bottom
of the camera toward OPEN to open
the battery/card cover.

Make sure that the memory card is
facing the right way and then push
the card all the way in until it clicks.
To remove it, press in the memory card and
then release your hand.

Insert the battery.
Use the battery to press the latch and insert
the battery all the way into the battery com-
partment.
To remove the battery, slide the latch.

Close the battery/card cover and
slide the release lever in the opposite
direction of OPEN to lock it in place.
