Speaker spare part information
Description
Speakers (include left and right speakers, cables, and four rubber isolators)
Before removing the speakers, follow these steps:
1.
Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn
the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2.
Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.
3.
Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet and then
unplugging the AC adapter from the computer.

Remove the keyboard/top cover (see

Remove the speakers:
1.
Disconnect the speaker cable (1) from the system board.
2.
Release the speaker cables from the retention clips (2) and routing channel built into the bottom cover.
3.
Remove the four Phillips M2.5×4.9 screws (3) that secure the speakers to the bottom cover.
4.
Remove the speakers (4).
NOTE:
absence of or damage to these isolators can result in degraded speaker performance.
Reverse this procedure to install the speakers.
