Troubleshooting
The product is not cooking evenly.
Cause: The upper platen or lower grill surface
is not clean and/or has carbon build-up.
Remedy: Follow closing procedures to properly
clean the upper platen and lower grill surface,
and to remove carbon build-up.
Cause: There is a grease or carbon build-up on
the bottom of the upper platen handles.
Remedy: Follow closing procedures to properly
clean and to remove carbon build-up from the
bottom of the platen handles.
Cause: The release sheet is worn.
Remedy: Replace release sheet.
Grill Cleaning
Startup & Cooking
Cause: Release sheet may be too loose,
causing poor heat transfer into product.
Remedy: Readjust the sheet to ensure a snug
fit. It should be tight enough to prevent
creasing, sliding, or catching by the squeegee.
Cause: The product is out of specification.
Remedy: Product must be within specification
(proper thickness, shape, etc.).
Cause: The platen is not level.
Remedy: Call an authorized service technician.
Cause: The preset gap height is incorrect.
Remedy: Call an authorized service technician.
Cause: Air pressure is not high enough.
Remedy: Call an authorized service technician.
