Make sure that the water level does not exceed the "Congee 0.5" level scale when putting
ingredients/seasonings/water in the pot.
(Putting too much in the pot may cause it to boil over, causing burns.)
Chicken congee
Ingredients
(for two to three people)
White rice ............ 0.5 cups
Chicken breast ......... 50g
1 thumb of ginger
1 /2 green onion
Sake ............... 1 /2 tbsp
Water .................. 500 ml
Salt ........................ 1 /4 tsp
Mitsuba (honeywort)
..................... as required

Wash the chicken well and place it
in a pot with water, chopped
green onion, grated ginger and
sake. Bring the pot to a boil on a
medium heat, and remove the
scum on the sur face to create
broth. Pass it through a sieve and
leave to cool.

Cut the chicken from step
cm cubes, and sprinkle them with
salt.

Wash the rice quickly until water
becomes clear and drain it in a
sieve basket.

Put the rice from step

in the inner pot,
and add water up to water level
scale 0.5 for Congee. Stir the
mixture well.

Select the <White / Congee>
course and press the START key.

When the cooker enters the Keep
and the
Warm mode, mix in the chicken
from step 2.

Serve the food, and add mitsuba
(honeywort - similar to flat leaf
parsley) to decorate if desired.
