The latest version of the SST (Service Support Tool) is available via Canon's
e-Support Center Website (http://www.support.cusa.canon.com) for upgrading
the following system components:
• System Software stored on the SSD
• Firmware for the optional Staple Finisher-AE1 and Booklet Finisher-AE1
• MEAP Contents
• Language
• SSD Format
• RUI (Remote User Interface) stored on the SSD
• BootROM stored on a FDIMM (Flash Double Inline Memory Module) on the
Main Controller PCB (Printed Circuit Board)
The imageRUNNER ADVANCE DX C3800 Series devices support firmware
downloads from the SST, a USB memory stick, and the CDS. When the
storage drive is replaced, the SST is used to format the new storage drive and
load software.
