Follow these recommendations for copper data cabling in high electrical noise envi-
ronments:
Data cable lengths should be as short as possible, preferably 3 m (10 ft) in
length. Copper data cables should not be used for inter-building communica-
tions.
Power and data cables should not be run in parallel for long distances, and
should be installed in separate conduits. Power and data cables should intersect
at 90° angles when necessary to reduce inductive coupling.
Shielded/screened cabling can be used when required. Care should be taken to
avoid the creation of ground loops with shielded cabling.

Tamper-Evident Security Seals

In compliance with the security requirements of the Federal Information Processing
Standards (FIPS140-2), FIPS-compliant tamper-evident security seals are applied to
potential access points on this device. Security seals provide evidence of unautho-
rized tampering or removal of components.
NOTICE
Worn, damaged or missing seals must be replaced immediately.
Replacement seals are available for purchase from Siemens. For more information,
contact a Siemens Sales representative.
There are three ways to determine if a security seal has been tampered with:
The seal is cut or torn
A pattern is left on the device when the top layer of the seal is removed
Residue left by the seal is visible on the device under ultra-violet light
