8.5.4.4. Connecting the photovoltaic function (PV)
Energy management
Floating contact
PV max
PV eco
This function enables you to switch to self consump-
tion mode and prioritises use of the energy generated
by the photovoltaic plant to supply the heat pump
and the heating element.
The inverter checker (energy manager) and the do-
mestic hot water heat pump are connected to termi-
nals 1 and 2 on the board using a 4-core cable (min.
cross-section 0.5 mm²).
NOTE
Contacts no. 1 and 2 must be floating. They must
NEVER be connected to an AC voltage.
Run a 2 or 4-core cable (min. 0.75 mm²) through
the cable gland on the rear of the device, feed it
into the switch box and connect it to terminal 1.
Remove the factory fitted link cable first.
If the energy manager / inverter checker on the
photovoltaic plant has two control contacts, they
must be connected to contact no. 1 and no. 2 (see
"Wiring diagram DHW 301P(+)" chapter.
Contact no. 1: The electrical power generated by
the photovoltaic plant is low.
Contact no. 2: The electrical power generated by
the photovoltaic plant is high.

9. Commissioning

ATTENTION!
The cylinder must be completely filled with
water and purged before initial commission-
ing. The domestic hot water heat pump can
then be connected to the power supply.
NOTE
Before commissioning, check the entire water circuit
for leaks.
Procedure:
Ensure that the device is not connected to an
electrical voltage.
Open the highest or the most distant domestic
hot water tapping point in the system.
Open the cold water inlet on the safety group.
Fill the cylinder until the water runs out of the
highest or most distant tapping point with no
bubbles.
Close the domestic hot water tapping point and
connect the voltage.
Domestic hot water heat pump operating range:
In the permissible range between -7 °C and +45 °C in-
take air temperature, the device is primarily in heat
pump operation. Outside this range, the supplemen-
tary electric heating ensures heating of the domestic
hot water.
The domestic hot water temperature supplied by the
heat pump can be controlled up to 60 °C in 1 Kelvin
increments.
For high domestic hot water consumption, the do-
mestic hot water heat pump has what is known as a
"T°C MINI" function. With this function, the heat out-
put is increased if only 1/3 of the remaining cylinder
volume is above temperatures >38 °C.
If a large quantity of domestic hot water is required for
a short time, the domestic hot water heat pump has a
"Boost" function, which heats up the water quickly to
the desired temperature using the supplementary
electric heating (e.g. to 50 °C). This function is disabled
again as soon as the setpoint is reached (e.g. 50 °C).
Check the display regularly for fault messages (see
"Faults" chapter).
