3. Use the Radica Matrix Putty and mix the base and the catalyst in a
one-to-one ratio until thoroughly mixed.
4. Apply the putty to the area of the model requiring the provisional
restorations. Be sure to also capture the adjacent teeth, and extend
the putty down at least 2mm past the marginal area.
5. Allow the Matrix Putty to harden. Remove it from the model.
6. Using a sharp instrument, remove the Matrix Putty to within 2mm of
the margin area.
Applying the Matrix Putty
MODEL/DIE PREPARATION
Note: Proper die reduction is important. Over reduction will result
in a provisional that is too thick, and will need to be hollow ground
prior to insertion. Minimum connector size is 4mm x 5mm.
1. Select a Midwest
Make depth cuts in the die stone as a guide.
2. Use a die saw or a diamond disk and open the adjacent contacts 1mm.
Be careful not to damage the adjacent tooth. Use the carbide bur to
reduce the required stone die by approximately 1.0mm.
