Evaluation Board User Guide

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The EVAL-ADF4108EBZ1 is designed to allow the user to
evaluate the performance of the ADF4108 frequency synthesizer
for phase-locked loops (PLLs). The block diagram of the board
is shown in Figure 1. It contains the
connector, SMA connectors for the power supplies, and an RF
output. There is also a passive low-pass loop filter. The board is
designed to be hooked up to an external voltage controlled
oscillator (VCO). A cable is included with the board to connect
it to a PC printer port.
The package also contains Windows® software to allow easy
programming of the synthesizer.
