Step
1. Turn OFF the ignition.
2. Remove the bezel surrounding the IP cluster
enough to disconnect the engine warm switch.
3. Disconnect the engine warm up switch

harness connector.
4. Start the engine.
Does the engine warm up control cancel?
1. Test the signal circuit between the ECM (pin
51 of J14) and the switch (pin 2 of B168) for a
short to battery or ignition voltage.

2. Repair the circuit(s) as necessary.
Did you find and correct the condition?
Repair or replace the engine warm up switch.

Did you complete the repair or replacement?
Important:
programmed and learned.

Replace the ECM. Refer to ECM Replacement.
Did you complete the replacement?
Reconnect
components, fuse or harness connector(s).
